The Watercolor Techniques series of classes at the Wilds Art Center in Loveland, Colorado begins January 16, 2008. The classes will be on 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6-9 pm and I'll cover a variety of ways to approach a watercolor painting. One of the techniques I'll teach is my 'purple under painting' which I used in this painting, "Time Out!". You can achieve some impressive shadows by painting this way. Flathead Lake
I have had 3 paintings accepted into the Western Spirit Art Show in Cheyenne, Wyoming for March 2008. "Flathead Lake" (24" x 18"pastel) will be in the show. I love this show-the opening is lots of fun, they provide great food and display impressive artwork. Details to follow on those dates & times. (Something to look forward to!)
More Montana paintings at Fine Art America.
