Bad Santa

"Bad Santa" is the product of  one of my Tuesday night's drawing/painting portrait and figure drawing session. This group is not only talented but creative and  we have lots of laughs.  The models were very fun and consented to our rather odd idea of Santa....inspired by the movie. The  challenging part was painting two figures in less than 3 hours; the time flew by.  This original pastel on Wallis sandpaper is for sale, the pastel painting is 11" x 12" and can be yours for: $150 plus $12 shipping in the US.

Each class will be a different project, art lesson and medium including charcoal, tube watercolor, acrylic paint, and watercolor dye. Learn about line, value, mixing colors, and composition. LANDSCAPE & PERSPECTIVE
Learn to draw a landscape and to put all of the things you’ve learned together. More detail will be given on perspective and depth. We will practice drawing from photos or you may bring a picture you might like to try to draw. The class is small so each student will get plenty of individual attention.
Class #25914-3 M, 2/22, 6:30-9:00pm

Snowy & Sweet Art for Tots
Play with art materials to see the budding
artist within your 3 or 4 year old. Projects will
be different each week; themes will be Winter
and Valentines Day. Finger paint, sculpt with
model magic and glue among other mediums
to create a work of art while working on fine
motor skills. Some days are messy; we supply
aprons, but wear old clothes to be safe.
Parents are encouraged, but not required to
attend with their child. A $5 supply fee is due
to the instructor on the first day of class.

finger paint), sculpt, glue, cut and more. We
will use a different snowy winter or valentine
theme project with each class. Things can
get messy so wear old clothes since the aprons

the instructor at the first class. No Class 2/15.

"Moraine Park Fishing: framed giclee on watercolor paper of a fly fisherman

"Moraine Park Fishing" is a 24" x 36" pastel that was commissioned and sold but I had it scanned for high resolution giclees.  I have one at home that I am willing to sell for below retail.  It is an Artist Proof (only one) that is 12" x 17" on archival watercolor paper.   It is matted with a white mat into a 24" x 30", 3" wide, dark wood frame with some gold.  The scene is from Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado in autumn.   If you have a fly fisherman on your Christmas list, this would make a unique, ideal gift. I am willing to sell this piece for $250 (the frame alone wholesale was $89) with free shipping.

"Gold Rush" an autumn pastel of a Rocky Mountain hike

"Gold Rush" is a 30" x 15" pastel of a favorite hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The aspen grove that you hike up to is impressive, especially in the fall when the colors are peaking with brilliant golds .  Although I'm not willing to part with this favorite painting, it has been high resolution scanned for excellent quality canvas giclees through artforconservation.com in a variety of sizes.  It won "Jurors Choice" (best of show) in a Lincoln Gallery (Loveland, CO) show.

I recently finished these mini oil paintings of the Snowy Range Mountains in Wyoming. It  was absolutely gorgeous up there; huge granite building blocks, snow left in a few spots (in August!) and wildflowers, especially Columbine growing everywhere.
