Group Therapy

I just finished and delivered "Group Therapy", a 15" x 30" oil commission. This collector also has "Therapy" and "The Big Curl" original oils. Together they are a fun, therapeutic group of paintings that I enjoyed painting and even more loved getting the original inspiration from.

The Great Frame Up and 30 local artists from Northern Colorado are putting on an art show to add a touch of color to the Holidays, and to benefit the House of Neighborly Service, a non-profit that helps families in economic crises. Come and enjoy the art, the food, and the company of some of the most talented artists in the area.

The classes I have scheduled (for children) in December are:

Grades 4th – 8th, $18 per student

Snowman Ornaments
Thursday, Dec. 11, 4 pm – 5:30 pm
Grades 1st – 3rd, $18 per student

I will also be teaching at the Chilson Recreation Center in Loveland:

Sinopah Mt.

"Sinopah Mt" is an oil I recently finished. I was camped near Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana this summer. I got up early to plein air paint & take reference photos. The colors & reflections were spectacular.

Plein air painting

I had the pleasure of painting in an Aspen grove in Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado) last week. I had fun with my oils & pallet knife; it felt more like sculpting a painting with all of the paint I used.

Lincoln Gallery's Fall Show 2008

On Friday, October 9th, downtown Loveland comes alive with it's 2nd Friday art walk. I have these oil paintings entered into the Lincoln Gallery's Fall show. The opening is from 6-9pm.

Both paintings are scenes from a weekend in the Maroon Bells when the aspen trees were at their peak and over a foot of snow fell. The colors were gorgeous!

Hiking through a painting

I get a big charge out of revisiting places I have painted, especially being "in" a painting I've done. I'm hiking behind my husband on a favorite hike in Rocky Mt Park just a few days ago.
"Gold Rush" is a pastel I've created from this place.

This pastel is from a favorite hike of a beautiful aspen grove in Rocky Mountain National Park that I plan on hiking in the next few days. The colors should be spectacular!
