"Appeasing Pele"

"Appeasing Pele"
is what I named this 11 x 14" original pastel depicting the offerings
(for the volcano goddess Pele) that were left at the rim of the crater at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.   Due to recent eruptions, the public can no longer access this spot.
This painting was accepted into "Paint the Parks" 2nd -50 Mini's in their miniature show of 2008. It was also accepted into the 2007 AANC National Art show in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

"Appeasing Pele" is for sale for $495 plus $30 S/H. It comes with a beautiful gold frame and liner with Tru Vu AR glass .

Egyptian princess

Wow!  We had an awesome model last night at the weekly life drawing/painting session I attend.  This model loves to dress up and really outdid herself for us.  She dressed up as an Egyptian princess with gold, jewels, a head dress and sparkly gold eye shadow outlined with lots of black eyeliner to look authentic. We had a blast and appreciate all the effort...
This pastel on suede board is 15" x 10" and can be purchased for $95 plus $5 shipping through paypal.

My heart made the national news!

I painted a 5' fiberglass heart for the city of Loveland's  program: City with a HeART in  2008.  Loveland, Colorado has always made the most of it's name on Valentine's Day.   CBS news made a Valentine's Day video which features my heart at the beginning.

Lasting Love

"Lasting Love" is a pastel I painted after my Father died. They were married over 50 years and truly had a lasting love.  They were sitting on a bench in front of Lake Loveland in northern Colorado.  The painting is a keepsake now but I do have prints and cards of this image available through fineartamerica.com.  I've actually sold quite a few of both; many customers have told me it reminds them of their parents.

"Glacier Blues"

"Glacier Blues" is an original 14" x 11" pastel on Wallis paper mounted to gator board.  The scene is from Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana.  We were camped nearby so I was able to see the early morning reflections on this pristine mountain lake in the Rocky Mountains.  I put the canoe in the painting because it would have been a perfect place to canoe at.  This painting is for sale; I am offering a  temporary sale price of  $199 for this painting plus $10 shipping.
